Audacious:
Redefining the Space Between a Bold Request and an Unimaginable Answer
Too many of us carry around a belief that God can do impossible things, but doesn’t want to do them in our life – as if the requests we have are too much or not enough; that the boldest prayers are reserved for specific categories or people. The challenge we face is believing that bold prayers are determined by what we ask for or the answer we anticipate.
In Audacious, writer and life coach, Heidi Vanderpan, offers an invitation to redefine what it means to pray boldly by centering our conversations with God on vulnerability and trust. Through honest stories, practical encouragement, and thoughtful questions, Heidi empowers you to:
Confidently identify where you feel stuck and how you want God to move
Surrender your expectations and leave room for surprise
Trust God’s presence in the abundant joy, lonely silence, and winding trail between
Come along to explore the space between a bold request and an unimaginable answer. We are all invited to an audacious prayer life… and it might not be what you think.

In August of 2020, one small moment challenged my belief about God, prayer, and the impossible things in life. A few months later I had a feeling that the tectonic shifts I was feeling in my faith and prayer life would one day be a book. As time allowed, I slowly chipped away at a chaotic word document and the dreams of a book floated around in my mind. In January of 2023, I made a major shift in my life to move from Portland, OR back to the Twin Cities in Minnesota to be closer to family for an indefinite amount of time (I still have a storage unit of things in Portland!). My day to day looked totally different and I realized I finally had the capacity to really focus on writing this book. I mustered up the courage and dove into long nights of writing after my full time job and weekends holed up with my whole day focused on a much more organized word document.
Three years later … it’s finally here!
